Forks in the Road
From "A Quiet Night in June"

The forks in the road

We face throughout life

Can lead us to joy

Or bring us to strife

A chance to find friends

And climb up new hills

Bring love to our lives

Or bring us some thrills

The choices we make

As we pass on through

Can bring new insights

And challenges, too

We’ll follow some forks

While chasing our dreams

Sometimes we find out

All’s not what it seems

And some forks we take

Just turn out to be

Not the best choices

To follow, we see

But somehow it seems

As years pass on by

More choices bring joy

Than do make us cry

When to the last fork

Our end drawing near

Look back on our times

With smile and dried tear
